Artistic Diseños Inc. is built on over 50 years of craftsmanship, proudly serving commercial and residential clients across Detroit and beyond with premium ornamental ironwork, and now, durable powder coating finishes that stand the test of time.
What began in 1974 as a small garage operation by Colombian immigrant Misael “Tony” Martinez has grown into a respected name in custom metalwork. Under Mr. Martinez’s leadership, Artistic Diseños became known for quality, trust, and timeless design.
In 2022, the torch was passed to longtime employee and protégé Javier Lugo, who began working at Diseños at just 13 years old after emigrating from San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Known for his loyalty, precision, and work ethic, Mr. Lugo built his own successful shop, Artistic Iron Works, before returning to acquire and merge both companies into what is now Artistic Diseños Inc.
Today, we honor that legacy by blending old school craftsmanship with new school innovation. While we continue to create custom ornamental ironwork, we are proudly expanding into high-performance powder coating, offering sleek, corrosion resistant finishes that enhance and protect your metalwork for years to come.
